The Past Awakes

Finding clues which lead to the next step in the ancestral lineage resembles the awakening to a beautiful day filled with sunshine and blooming flowers. The good weather invites trips to the old ancestral home, or the search for more ancient dwellings.  It is always fun to take the children on these types of field trips, to help them identify the past.  Actually, it is a memory which we researched and provide for them.  There are lots of beautiful pictures which are available of the countryside.  Perhaps you found the old site and some barns, whatever.  It is all good for memories. Do not forget to visit local court houses for essential information to tracing the lineage further back in time. Georgia Pioneers has created images of court house records in Georgia and it is easy to view them online.
