Canoochee River

Canoochee River
Settlements around the Canoochee River in South Georgia spread for about 12 miles southeast of Swainsboro.  The Creeks had their villages nearby treaties pushed them out beginning as early as 1819.  The Little Canoochee Creek flows into the surrounding counties of Candler, Evans, Bryan and Liberty. For those interested, the cemetery records have been gathered and published for these counties and available in most Georgia regional libraries having a genealogy section.  Find your ancestors on the Largest Genealogy Website for Georgia
