Find the Origin of Families before the Revolutionary War

God Bless America
Just about everyone wants to find their roots. There is something inside of us which says "find out who you are."  The idea that a knowledge of our past has something to do with the future is not new. Our genes seem to contain a certain memory. Take a peek at your eyes and nose.  There is someone in your family that you resemble.  The dynamics of an unknown source passing out the traits of family members who lived before us and observing how we turn out, is interesting.  I feel that all of us had many brave family members who immigrated to the US to escape oppression and embrace freedom and that we are part of a courageous network which stretches far into the future.  To discover your roots back to the immigrant, however, you will need to research parish registers and county records. For example, the deeds reveal origins, and the old last wills and testaments not only reveal places of origins, but names of children, spouses, siblings and cousins.  That is why I have collected so much data and documents over the years .  I know that you research through a zillion records and hope that you do what you can to preserve your family information. In the meanwhile, why not give Georgia Pioneers a look and see if you can find some of the records which your ancestors left behind.
